Goethe-Zertifikat A1 (Start German 1) Exam Schedule
The official list below only shows time periods that are reserved and not confirmed exams. Please confirm with your instructor if your course will be taking its final exam in this period.

Locations
The Exam Schedule lists locations where DEP conducts operator certification exams. Please refer to the individual exam pages for additional information about exam content, exam rules and conditions, and other guidelines. If you require special accommodations due to chronic illness or visual or hearing impairment, please contact the exam provider directly and make sure to provide a detailed document at the time of registration.
The Faculty Dashboard in Workday offers the option of "View My Teaching Schedule", which allows faculty to locate their exam schedules. In addition the Registrar's Office has a list of exam times for classes that have exams required by NYSED regulations. Final exams for classes that are held in the evenings are scheduled for the regular class times of the final examination weeks.

Registration
The exam schedule is accessible on the internet, and students are encouraged to look it up. It is important to keep in mind that the final schedule of exams may be altered at any time. This is why students should check with their instructors to confirm that they have the correct date and time for their test. Exam locations try their best to accommodate those with special needs. The nature and the extent of these needs should be noted on the registration and confirmed by a physician's attestation. The locations for the exam must adhere to confidentiality.

Fees
If you have completed your studies at Elan Academy and wish to obtain an Goethe-Zertifikat A1 (start German 1), you must pay the exam fee. This fee is in addition to the course fee.
Practice tests allow you to get familiar with the format of the questions, their wording, and the difficulty of the questions on the test. They allow you to assess your knowledge level, find areas of knowledge that aren't covered and increase your chances of passing the exam.
Please be aware that the exam fee is not refundable. Examination results can only be accessed via email and not by phone.
